Thanks for the name of the screws
The grille arrived today - I was unaware the Volkswagen badge didn't come with the grill. . .when I take my old grill off can I take out the Volkswagen logo and just clip it into my new grill?
Does it just twist off?
Thanks

Hey I have taken a photo of the grille for future reference. . .Those four giant black holes have screws in them - the screws are star shaped (but not star as the normal screwdriver. . .actual *'s). Does the grill slide out between the top and bottom metal sections? . . The Volkswagen Badge looks as...

I'm in the magical northern ireland. I'm only joking about my grill falling off  I'm not *that* bad. The instructions given in this thread should help alot - i'll bring out my laptop and just do it there and then - shouldn't take me long. If you don't see me post for a few days - I have probabl...

I don't think you could paint them black - the pearlised paint might not attach (or any paint for that matter). It's the cheap grey bumpy stuff that's on it - i'm not that bothered it's not as noticeable on mine as it is a red car for example. Besides everyone will be looking dazzlingly into my gril...

I wouldn't really be up for that much modification. That is too much for me to cope with - I should just be able to handle the grille. :D I would consider getting the bumper strips in diamond pearl black like my car - but since it's black you don't really notice them anyway. I'm also going to try an...

I think i'm going to go for the chrome grill. :D The only difference is that it would seem where the GTi grill uses your Volkswagen Badge. . . .the chrome one comes with it's own badge so I presume you have to take off your original badge. Is it also a case of a few screws? . . . this will be my fir...

Thanks for your reply. Are you a car technician? . . how did you know what to do with regards to taking off the old one and putting on the new one? Are there instructions and what-not with the part? Could you post a picture of your car so I can see if I really like it. You've done a nice seamless jo...

Fitting New Number Plate
Hey everyone. Does anyone have any photo's or descriptions of how I would go about taking off my current plate and putting on a new one? Is it simply a case of screwing them off and on? This is my first car and i'm a little bit clueless - it doesn't seem that the plates i'm ordering come with screw ...
