Re: GTI (AW) REVO stage 1 Beta test review

Thanks for the write-up Jack. Sounds really promising and I'm glad everything has gone smooth so far and you're enjoying it. :) The jerky gearbox has been the one thing about the car that really annoys me, especially when coming down the gears. If they were to release a DSG tune to fix those issues ...

Re: 2018 onwards GTI any attempt theft issues?

With the GTI there's a little indent on the drivers handle (I think passenger too). When you push/touch that after locking the car you can no longer use Keyless Entry to open the car. The car effectively stops listening for the signal. I do this every time I lock the car. You have to use the key fob...

Re: POLO GTI+ | Police Trouble

My brother however, who has my old car, a MK5 Golf, has been pulled over 5-6 times over the last two years. Like yourself he said on every occasion he's been driving at the speed limit and obeying the laws of the road, but always seems to get pulled over. He works late shifts as well so it's always...

Re: Michelin PS4's

The PS4s definitely improved the car for me. Only thing I've been disappointed with is the car still tramps a lot when trying to set off from a stand still. It's fine if I get the car rolling a bit first and the roads are dry.

Running 36psi all round.

Re: POLO GTI+ | Police Trouble

Welcome back Tom. I remember your posts when you were waiting for delivery, that's been a quick year! Sorry to hear about your car being broken into, that's a constant fear for me. Really pisses me off when people think they have a right to do that for something you've worked hard for. Glad the car ...

Re: GTi gone (woohoo!)

Out of curiosity I checked on WBAC and Motorway.com and got offered roughly £19k for my GTI+ with 11k miles on the clock. Thinking I could get more now.

Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap

That’s interesting, why have they not updated their website I wonder, now I have to decide between these and the Eibach Pro line springs. Looking at the Golf GTI forum the Racing Line springs weren't going down well for previous Gold models. Heard consistently good things about the Eibach Sportline...

Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap

This is good news, hoping they also hurry up with their lowering springs and intake kit lol. You can get the springs here. https://www.diversionautomotive.com/products/racingline-performance-sport-spring-set-vw-polo-gti-aw?_pos=3&_sid=2213815fc&_ss=r Keep in mind, that says a 30mm drop. How...

Had an email from Racing Line regarding their Stage 1. Looks like we could have some news on that in September. :)

Re: UP GTi

Always wanted to have a drive of one, supposed to really fun to drive. Considering you can get a GTI+ in that price range (I'm paying £265pm for mine) with a lot more tech, don't think I'd take the Up over the Polo. I'm around £320 for mine (£1000 down and 8000 per year). The Up would be a good sav...

Yes I don’t know why I bother with it but it is the principle of the thing ;) Stealer still making excuses saying something about VW Germany technical team. I sent him those part numbers he can’t find them lol. Mine went in today and guess what, no bolts! Why on earth they didn't check they had the...
