I’ve tried both extensively over my gti and my previous gti+ and even my wife’s 2016 gti. Yes it feels marginally more responsive but makes zero difference to my mpg. I’d rather keep my money and fire the odd tank of premium just to clean the injectors.

Shame to hear you’ve had such issues. My experience of polos has been they’re either great or terrible. My BlueGt had a billion problems, but my gti+ was fine. Then my facelift gti again had a bucket of problems but the replacement (touchwood) has been ok.

Am I being stupid? I was always told you can’t put the gti boot in the lowest setting due to the battery. Well I just tried it on mine whilst clearing it out for service, and it went in just fine….

Am I following old advice and you can actually use the full boot of the gti?
