15s will go on if you stick to 6j wide and et38. fitted with 165/50 tyres steering is light and handling is very pleasant.

the heaters are just crap! your lucky it even works! its just the way they are. mine gets more powerfull the faster i go!

you guys ever thought about taking the clocks out, cleaning the mulitplug with some electrical contact cleaner the re-seating the clocks. its only a 30 min job

if a digifant golf gti the airflow meter can be used but it needs setting up to run right. there was a guide on clubpolo.co.uk once upon a time, dunno if its still there.
other than that there isnt a great deal you can use. injectors would be too big i reckon. cam is different to.

tyres have tread but i wouldnt use them cos they look pretty perished, but were you really expecting them to be any good! :shock:

stat is around £20 for the part, but its an easy diy fit. head gasket: parts again are cheap, but personally i would get it pro done, also get a new water pump and cambelt at the same time, as the pump acts as the tensioner for the belt and seing as the belt has to come off due to the head you migh...

only 2 things spring to mind, early signs of head gasket failure and possibly a failed thermostat.
try removing the thermostat and see if that improves things. its only held by 2 bolts and takes about 5 mins to do

golf gti engines will not fit without major surgery at a cost of 2k or more, so not viable and they wreck the handling. 1.6 16v and 1.4 16v will fit, no idea how much work, but i cant imagine it would be that bad, probably not worth using gt injection on these though 1.6 8v: go onto polo3.co.uk and ...
