Re: 02U Quaife differential?
They are under PROGRESSIVE LSD CONVERSION SETS That bmw diff is completely adjustable, quaife is not ahh so not an actual diff just a big shim that can only be used on diffs that allow access. yeah i know that the clutch type diffs have adjustable (and quaifes don't ) but it really isn't needed in ...

Re: 02U Quaife differential?
Id would look into https://racingdiffs.com/ many people say their lsd solution is much better than quaife ( and cheaper) i can't see any diffs on that side apart from a bmw one which is a lot more than a quaife. also the lifetime warranty doesn't cover the cost of stripping the box down completely ...

Re: OEM speaker upgrade
It just breaks in to the power and speaker wires the rest of them just pass through.
It's not affected the backup camera on my car.
That's why you need the fully populated T harness rather than the partially populated.

Re: OEM speaker upgrade
The first thing i would do is add an amp to the stock setup. the biggest issue is the tiny chip amp in the stock unit. i have a pioneer gm-D1004 mini amp fitted it has improved things no end (has added a lot more depth to the sound) but i'd recommend to avoid it and fit a vibe microamp 65.4 (i have ...

Re: Cleaning throttle body?
it's a drive by wire setup so you hitting the throttle pedal wouldn't directly effect the throttle body.
so if hitting the pedal fixes it, it would be the pedal at fault.
could possibly be the potentiometer sticking

Re: GTI performance blunted by new E10 Fuel ?
the gti will run fine on 95 ron no problem Agree totally it will run just fine on 95 Ron, but if you look in the fuel door it states 97 Ron is preferred, if I’m low on fuel and away from home I have no issue adding some regular fuel to get me home if 97 is not available but always top it off with s...

Re: GTI performance blunted by new E10 Fuel ?
mine is so far away from stock i do have to use 99 ron fuel (tesco momentum) so never actually used e10 it probably dropped in power on the first tank then has sort of come back good gradually it has got enough headroom in the fueling to support it and all the right sensors so should just be a sligh...

Re: GTI performance blunted by new E10 Fuel ?
the gti will run fine on 95 ron no problem the issue is that if it is the first tank it will probably take a little bit the adjust the fuel trims to account for the very slight reduction on calorific energy. far too much scare mongering going around imho germany started using e10 around 2011 so a fa...

Re: Polo 6C Led interior: tips
The interior lights are not monitored by the BCM, so no dashboard fault. Be careful with the so-called CAN bus LEDs, as they use resistors to waste energy and trick the car into thinking an incandescent bulb was used instead. Some Chinese LEDs are very poorly made and can be true fire hazards. glad...

Re: Head unit replacement
I have a 2016/2017 6C and this thing only has the Composition Colour installed. No brains behind the glovebox. Just to change the headunit involves finding ways to get the tyre pressure and ESP settings moved to physical buttons as they're integrated into the headunit. Over-done integration like th...

Re: Head unit replacement
if it's a 6c spec polo you will have the newer infotainment setup (discovery media) which is a lot different to the older 6r units the brains of everything is in the glovebox. this can be changed fairly easily but will require Component protection to be removed and all the FeCs to be re-enabled to g...

Re: Press clutch to start. Is it possible to disable? (1.8tsi crankwalk)
Do you know if these were running an uprated clutch or not? 1 i know was running the sachs organic uprated clutch not sure on the others If it is done with a remap I'm guessing it wouldn't interfere with any of the systems mentioned as it's "coded out" in a sense? i would of thought it wo...

Re: Press clutch to start. Is it possible to disable? (1.8tsi crankwalk)
the issue mainly arises when using an uprated clutch pressure plate as it puts more pressure on the thrust bearings (vw have put the bare minimum in on the ea888 compared to older engines) you can machine the bottom end to fit the older style bearings off the 1.8t to help a lot. i'm on a the polo gt...
