Important! RE: Forum Style

All
Since upgrading the forum to the latest version of the software, installing the new style and adding banner ads, the forum has been using almost double the bandwidth that it previously used. I have checked back on the web server logs and this ties in exactly with the date that the changes were made...
So:
I have put the style back to the standard style for now to see if that makes any difference over the next couple of days.
We have also been getting hit by Microsoft's MSNBot (an automated "robot" that scours the web so that MSN's search engine is kept up to date). This has been creating over 10 sessions at a time and has been looking at EVERY post on the forum, constantly checking it for updates, so I can only assume that this has had some negative effects on server performance and bandwidth usage.
I have blocked the range of IP Addresses that this robot uses, so I'm hoping it will leave us alone from now on!
If none of these measures helps the forum to use less bandwidth I'm going to have to do a lot more digging (and start forking out for additional bandwidth).
It's weird how the bandwidth doubled the day I did the upgrades though, so it's got to be something I did!!
