I’ll try to get some pics to show you tomorrow
Re: Temperature gauge not in the middle
The 12,13,14 and 15 from the picture you posted are brand new original parts.
Are you talking about the big thing with pipes?

Re: Temperature gauge not in the middle
One on ebay here
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-Polo ... ctupt=true
Other than that, youll likely have to phone your local VW dealer to see if there are any in the dealer network sat on a shelf
its a somewhat rare part. A dealer in germany may have some old stock

Re: Temperature gauge not in the middle
Is yours an AJV engine code?
Re: Temperature gauge not in the middle
Thanks!
Yes it is AJV and that first photo is not correct, mine has 3 tubes in the back, 1 left side and 2 right side (if you look at the engine from the front of the car).
I already got one from a local dealer, it's not an original part as VW says that this part was discontinued in 2015.
I phoned a couple of official stores, even classic and heritage parts, neither have the original part in stock.
Besides the original part costs around 208 euros in europe with vat. This one i got for nearly 40.
That is the biggest problem on these cars, thermostat keeps breaking after 3 or 4 years.

Re: Temperature gauge not in the middle
At least you managed to get one
Thermostats should last much longer than that. Genuine ones should last at least 10 years if not longer
