Brake Disc (Front) - Part Number / 'Model'

Post by inder »

Hi all,

Long time no post..!

Quick question, tracked down a part number for a 6N2 set of front brake discs... now they are the correct size (256x20mm), but I am confused about the third column (model) on this parts screenshot... I am looking to get the ones highlighted in red, at a good price... but am confused if they will be suitable or not!

any idea how I narrow it down, or do all three listed fit fine ?? (at a guess, could this be due to the two different calipers? lucas/girling and the other type?)

I don't think the VW garage will help, as I am trying to buy these much cheaper...

car is engine AUA, ETD - let me know if more info req'd :?

Thanks for any help, :)

Thanks for your post and the link, yes the car is 1.4 16v AUA.

Is that a good brand, I was thinking of sticking with OE VW Parts..?

Just noticed in my screenshot, the 3rd row disc is a thicker one (25mm) , probably GTI, so no good...

It will be the 1st or 2nd row - as they are correct size.. Dacromet is like some kind of anti corrosion coating I think..

Can you explain what PR-1ZK, PR-1ZE and IZJ means / how I match to mine ?

the PR is chassis breaks. They changed the discs with different chassis variants. Send me over your chassis number by PM and ill give you the correct code.
