Window down quick, up slow

Read loads of threads on this, mostly with nonsensical suggestions.
N/S window on Arosa labouring coming up but goes down fine which suggests to me it's not a friction issue.
I've got the door cards off and nothing looks out of place.
Which bits wear? I can't see what's happening where the cable runs round the bottom of the track, is there a pulley wheel?

Thanks

Update,
Regulator out and all looks in good condition except for the plastic clip that holds the glass clamp at the rear, which was part busted.
New pair clips on their way.
2 chances

Had a similar problem on my GTi.

The glass was slightly misaligned. Removed it, cleaned it, replaced it and all was good again

Yeah, put it all back with the new clip and a good spray up with silicone.
Better but still slow.

The plastic clips are always the weakest part, I had the same issue recently, was really struggling to raise and needed to help it up. This was due to where the cable locates in the clip on the runner, it had broken so the motor was trying to pull up on one clip which created an imbalance and hence the struggle. All good now though!

Have the same problem on mine, on the N/S

Been told I needed a new regulator but I will try these ideas out first before I fork out for one.
