Central locking issue

Post by slowpoloauto »

I've had a look and search for this topic and found nothing.

Anyone had issues with the central locking and fixed it?
Motor/pump works fine, just doesn't lock or unlock anything.

Boot lid also

If you listen you should hear where the air is escaping providing the pump is working properly

Checked both front doors and tailgate.
No visible breaks and no audible air leaks.
It sometimes works but mostly doesn't.
The replacement pump does exactly the same as the original, so no change there.

Thats definitely a leak then. Theres a variety of joins through the car under the carpet down the sides of the sills for the most part. Its mainly where it tees off if you have rear doors, the boot, and where the pipes go through the multiplug connector on the front doors

Have you looked inside the front door locks? A faulty actuator can also cause this. The normal process to check is to take the hose off and plug it to work out which is the problem

I have checked the actuator on the passenger door and it works.
The drivers door doesn't due to broken wiring.
The car would still lock on the passenger door until this problem started.
It's only the front doors and the tailgate that get used regularly.
Pipes have been checked as stated before.

No. They haven't been disturbed since it was built.
I'm not pulling up the interior.
I'll have another look at the driver door hinge area.
