Arosa 1 piece exhaust

Post by piglet14 »

Back box has gone.
All I can find online is centre & rear sections
Mine is a VW stamped 1 piece.
Is this a case of cut & clamp the new rear on?

Correct. They came one piece from the factory

Replacement will be cut and clamp.

It’s fairly straightforward. Remove the entire one piece from the car, measure and cut then sleeve the new one on once refitted

All done, cut the pipe on the car rather than try and disturb the nasty looking joint behind the cat.
Bit fiddly but done worse.
Joint leaks a bit, don't know what's considered acceptable.
Used to use Gun Gum in the bad old days.

You are best to seal it up with gun gum. Needs to be fairly tight from a leakage perspective
