Exhausts

Post by Joe stevens 1 »

Hi all , new to the forum.
Got a broken weld on the back of my back box making it rattle when at low revs pulling away. Would it be worth getting a legit vw back box or would an after market one be just as good and if so what’s the sizing? Do I just need the diameter of the exhaust? Any suggestions on exhausts too. Not looking for anything crazy, maybe a nice noise but not planning on waking up the neighbours.

Many thanks, joe

What engine have you got? Engine code would be helpful. If you don’t have it what’s your reg?

It’s best to get genuine. For the 6N2 there’s an economy range now as they’ve dropped the original parts. Quality is as good as it was original though. I’ll get the part numbers and prices when you’ve confirmed the details :)
