Hi all,i try to decide for new speakers (FOCAL ISC 165 ? ), and i need to know the max height of them, in order not to disturb the window opening.Any thoughts please ?What is the clearance ? Thanks.

I had a set of focals in my GTI and they were deep but they didn’t foul the window

Im well aware of that. Those speakers you mention are wrong for this car. You need two part components and not two way. 165AS for example, which fit well as I had them in mine

The pocket for the speakers is quite deep. You’d probably be best to whip the door card off and measure if you want to be 100% sure

Coaxial will not sound right in the 6N2 as it has a tweeter in the top of the door. Firing all the sound into the footwell isn’t good audio practice, but it’s up to you

There’s a lot of defent component sets out there for not much more than coaxial

The truth is that i have a pair of Infinity Kappa tweeters that i will use at the A pillar as supplement super tweeters.
For main speakers i am thinking of Focal ISC165 or Audison prima 165 instead of the Alpine SXE1725 that i currently have.
I also use a RF 10inch with Kenwood KAC 719 mono amp.
What do you say ?

If you have tweeters just buy woofers that have no tweeters at all

Hi,again.As far as i have searched the Focals is the least expensive solution (because of the low postage from Germany).
For the same money i can get Audison mid. bass speakers (but its only the half of the speaker,so i consider it as more expensive).
Could you recommend some other mid bass of the same quality please ?
