Drivers Window dropping overnight

Post by Supermax »

Drivers window has been having issues with juddering etc for the last month or so, but last night, a new fault.
Lock the car with the keyed central locking, (as opposed to remote) and after a short period, could be minutes, the window lowers.
If the door is left unlocked, it stays up.
It was suggested that pushing the button down manually on the drivers door by leaning across could be a workaround, but this ha.s not worked.
I also found that the window would only go up when the key was in the unlock position. The moment I tried to take key out the window went down again UNLESS I opened the door, took the key out then shut it. As a result I have no choice but to leave the car unlocked overnight. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the door lock is faulty. There’s a microswitch inside that triggers the windows open and close on holding the key open or closed
