Bye Bye Stone Chips

Post by Jillwilson »

Get my car back this afternoon although it might feel slow after driving around in a passat sport 130 bhp lol.
However my car has been in to have everything sorted i.e. scratches and stone chips + the lovely egg mark from them f***ing kids. So cant wait it'll look like new again.

Hope you enjoy it Jill!

Where did you take it? I've got a few scratches that I'd like sorting out, will any bodywork shop be able to sort them out?

*now in right thread  *

for godsake don't make the mistake my mate did with his car, he got roped into a car-washing charity thing, and basically he let himself in for kids washing his car, they must have dropped their sponges on the ground or something because the state his car was in afterwards it wouldn't have looked out of place down the local scrappy!
dang those pesky kids!

I wouldn't trust anyone else washing my car lol.

My car looks good as new full new bonnet respray back bumper and front + I added my votex front spoiler so she looks better than new.

lol never let your mum wash your car neither

because you'll just have to go out and finish it off afterwards on the quiet anyway!

last time i made that mistake it was a mess, worse than leaving it dirty because it ended up as a patchwork instead, making the dusty patches look ten times worse (and the "clean" bits were still a bit skanky)

so odd, makes a point of ensuring the house is spotless to the point of obsession and destroying the livability and practicality of the place, but can't tell that a car is still half dirty. if you're going to offer to do it, you may as well be offering with a bit of effort in mind...

wonder if thats how i picked up the mysterious "extra" scratches and stone chips, too?
