Your top 10 Retro Cars

Post by Andy1.6 »

Thinking of getting something a bit old school to play with and roll around in the summer now I've finished uni and don't want to put any extra mileage on my bmw!

What are everyones favourite old school cars? Give me a few ideas!

Depends what size of car your looking for really but a few of my old school classics are:

MK 1 & 2 Golf GTI's -
MK3 Polo GT & G40 - Great looking cars and very sought after.
Ford Escort XR3 & RS1600i (MK3 not MK4)
Ford Fiesta XR2 Mk1 & MK2 (early models)
MG Metro Turbo (Proper Pocket Rockets)
Renault 5 GT Turbo, Major Head Gasket and Crank problems but still an all time classic
Vauxhall Astra and Nova GTE's - The image of these cars was wrecked by Chavs & Boy racers but they were great cars back in the day, quick too.
Peugeot 205 1.6 & 1.9 GTI's - Very quick cars, proper retro ride these days.

Those are my favorite retro rides, most of which are hatchbacks. Their all fairly rare these days so finding good example's is not easy, they also keep good value.
