9n3 has a square unit , mk5 and mk6 has rounded edges so no that wont work on your 9n3. Have a look at aftermarket units from sony / pioneer or whoever !! I currently have a Sony XAV - W1

Edit - Polo 6R has the same shape as mk5 and 6

Try searching ebay for VW RMT 100

CD, USB and AUX on the front
And bluetooth for handsfree calls and music.

You're welcome. :-)
May lack the pre-outs for amp's but it gets the job done and it has the original blue/red lighting schemes and fits right into the dash of pretty much every VW since 2000

I drive a 9N.

So it uses the two ISO plugs.

So some adaptor may be required...

Anyone know if these head units are still available and where from

I have a 9n3 with worn buttons and will be adding handsfree found this thread and that unit would be the perfect solution

Dunno, but the single-DIN RMT 200 unit is available from VW directly for £199. http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/owners/acce ... /1#details

I paid £163 back in May for one, but it wasn't fitted, so I can't remember if that's just the part price and the £199 is fully fitted. It'll require an adaptor for the 9n3 I think- it's plug-and-play with the 9n.

The double-DIN unit is the RMT 100, not sure if they're still available.
