Hey guys,
I recently change the pads and front discs on my 99 Estate 1.6 (75HP) and managed to cook my brakes three times in a row afterwards. The pads and discs went through a long enough running in procedure so they were nicely bedded.
I then changed the fluid and was going to buy a different pad set but I'm a bit confused as I get results for both 239mm and 256 mm discs. Apparently, they both fit my car (been through a couple of pages, visited a few salesmen). I use the 239 mm version at
the moment. Could it be that both fit - is the calliper constructed that way? If not, how come they sell both for the same car?
Speaking of brake & pads combo - any suggestions? I was thinking Textar...
Many thanx for answers in advance!
Best, F

If you have 239s at present you'll have to stick with those unless you change the carrier/caliper combination
