Brake fluid shelf life

I have a sealed bottle (tin) of VW brake fluid which is 5+ years old. Will this still be any good to use?
If its still fully sealed, and is a whitey yellow colour rather than a dark yellow, it should be ok
It does have around 3 year shelf life, but providing its stayed sealed, it cant absorb any moisture.
