BMC Induction Kit

Post by blackgti »

Hey Hey everyone,

Just to let you know that I have finally got rid of my Pipercross induction kit and gone for a BMC Carbon Fibre one which should be here soon. 8)

I'll let you know how it goes later as I'll have to give it a real nice run.

you do know that carbon fibre is black right?
and you do know that black absorbs heat really well? right?
but if you could. could you just check to see if the filter element feels oily to the touch

Hi mate

Long time no hear! Hope you are ok?

I have been interested in these filters for ages now... The Lupo GTi boys swear by them.

If you can, I would really appreciate a full write-up inc photos!

Hope it makes your GTi Fly!

Josh sorry mate its long time no hear, my apolliges, been busy looking after the misses. Anyway got a few things lind up for the motor.

Then induction kit is now fitted and I've got picutres and a write up soon too post. But it sounds really nice no deep induction note like mine and I've been told to look for at least +10BHP.

But going out tonight so I'll know the out come and then let you all know as it really looks good under me bonnet.

I'll put a post up tomorrow say how she drives and then I'll put the write up and pictures on later.

You shouldn't expect too much of this simple BMC except some big noise :?

Firstly, 10bhp is probably achievable - but only in conjunction with a performance exhausts.

Secondly, have you got contact details for BMC? as i want to see if they make a fitment for me car.

Thanks in advance mate

As I said before, the Lupo GTi boys have said some very good things about these filters... And they've had them on the dyno which has confirmed what they fealt.

I'm now looking for an AEM Cold Air kit...

I've got friend who installed it on their Golf IV, Integra, Accord and Prelude and it's working fine...

if i find one, it would be for another car, but I only have to check the shape, lenght and diameter.
It's a friend of mine who gets them directly from the States.

As soon as he gives me the price, I'll tell you
