If it’s a 16V then yes. 8V I wouldn’t

A 2007 model onwards should be a 16v right?

Yup I think so

I’m selling my 06 9N3 1.4 TDI as a matter of fact if that’s of interest?

60 to the gallon all day long and motorways are a breeze. Albeit I spend most of my time plodding around town

I'm after a petrol mainly, due to circumstances I'm not spending as much time on motorways, mainly town driving now. Just once a month or so I will need to take it on motorways for long distances, which is why I wanted something that will hack 70mph!

Thanks for the offer though.

I wouldn’t poo poo it for town. I spend 90% of my time around town now. It doesn’t suffer the DPF problems of the later models

But of course if you wish for petrol I can’t sway you :P

"poo poo"? Lol. Never heard that one before.

If I'm not doing over 5000 miles a year there's little return on a diesel.

Surprised :P

Yeah I can get that. I guess I’m used to 8-10k a year lol

A 9N3 1.4 would be a good choice

Haha, is it on urban dictionary...

Yeah I used to do twice a week on motorways, M3, M25, about 60 miles but not anymore.

So 1.4 would the minimum I'd need for a good combination of mainly short trips and the odd motorway?

Yeah. The 1.2 is pathetic. 1.4 or greater for anything worthwhile

I think I'll be around 4000 revs in 5th for motorways?

I'll miss the 1.9 SDI that was only around 2500 rpm at 70 lol

Gonna be hella noisy once I hit motorway speeds lol. Plus getting onto it from slip roads might be a bit tight haha.
