New To : Detailing/Cleaning

Post by itsjosh »

Hi guys, and girls.
After buying the polo 9n3, I have found a new love and well my love is becoming dirty!
I was just wondering what products a beginner can use to clean? or if my budget was say £100 what would you recommend i purchased?
I want to clean the car but all the ideas of claybars/waxes etc scare me a little bit to be honest!

So i'd just like to know what you recommend and where to start

Thank you.

I think i've decided on:

Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo
Meguiars Gold Class Clear Coat Wax
Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit
and a few Microfibre Cloths

Shampoo. Clay+detailer spray as lube, and then wax.
Thats the basic steps if i have understood correctly lol.

Give this a read:

I made it a while ago. It's a bit outdated now. I do stuff slightly differently and more efficiently.

For one I use a proper snow lance over the super spray thing.

Thanks for the link!
I went and shampoo'd the car and used the meguiers quick detailer kit too.
Was too scared to polish & wax however i think i may just need to have a go at that soon ;)

Now to stock up on MF blocks and cloths lol
