i think a bee sting one is better - http://www.cartuningparts.co.uk/chrome- ... ra-meriva/ black of corse and then it take about 1m to take the old top off and put the new top on

Everyone seems to be avoiding the reception question!
are these aerials a waste of money?

Re: shark fin
I tried one briefly. It was alright actually, not as good as the normal one obviously but seemed to hold stations well. I've got an aerial amplifier for my head unit so maybe that was why it worked.
They are only about £10 on ebay. Worth a go at least.

Re: shark fin
Think shark fins are overrated! I know a mate with a corsa got rid of his and got a Honda civic aerial which I love the look of and reception is great!
Re: shark fin
I've been told by a master tech at my local VW that most of the roof antenna's are there for cosmetic reasons anyway, specially on the newer models. The antenna is infact built into the rear window. I have a 6R Polo and i've unscrewed the roof antenna and it actually makes no difference at all! Now i've figured that out i'm contemplating buying one of these:

Hi yeah its possible, i brought mine off eBay for like £10
just a straight swap, i took out my headlining as it was easier.

When she goes for a complete respray i will get it colour matched..
