2008 polo rev counter problem

Post by gaurav18 »

I have recently bought a 2008 1.2 polo. Everything works fine in terms of warning lights and speedo. However the revcounter seems to jam and jump up to a few thousand revs and slowly sit back down. Almost as it lags
Is there any solution to this, doesnt bother me to much but i was just wondering weather its a major fault
Thanks

Could be a bad earth or a fault in the clocks. Theres a common issue emerging with dry solder joints where the clock plug into the wiring loom - this could be that.
