Hi people i am new here so go easy on me.
I bought a polo for £30 it had a siezed brake drum which i managed to free up and it also wouldn't start. I have put the battery on charge and tried it again but still no joy. Could it possibly be the alternator or starter motor? It literally doesnt make a sound no whirring, firing or turning over.

How old is the battery? It could be past the point where itll accept a charge.

Does the dash reset when you try to start?
