Central Locking Problem 6n2

Post by Polo_Guy »

hi, I'm new to this place.

i have just purchased a VW polo 6n2 and i have a problem with the central locking that i can't figure out.
If you use the key to unlock the car it will only unlock the drivers door and you have to unlock the other doors from the inside. but when you lock the car from the outside it locks all the doors and you can hear the vacuum pump in the back working.
Any ideas what it could be? Faulty switch in the door? Faulty vacuum pump?
i really need to sort this out quick because i can't easily open the fuel cover and i cannot lock the boot.

Welcome

Likely to be either a broken wire between the door and the chassis or a split in the air hose

Pull back the rubber boot and have a good look
