Help Please DRL's from Headlight to lower aux fog assembly

Post by Paul R »

Could someone help me please ?

We own a 62 plate 6R polo with DRL's fitted to the main head lamp unit, and I would like to fit an aftermarket / OEM fog lamp with DRL's.

The lamp is available for my model car, but what I need to know is what wire do I pull off from the headlamp unit to power up a DRL bulb fitted into the replacement fog lamp.
The car came with factory fog lamps with turn light,

The problem I get is when I go over speed humps, on coming traffic think I'm flashing them to proceed, and it is leading to so much frustration, I know it is just as easy to use the side light / main light switch, but I prefer to jump in the car and drive and turn on the main lights when it is dark, not worrying about turning a switch to cancel the drl's

So if there is help out there it would be appreciated

Cheers Paul

You do not have to modify any wire from the headlights at all.

You have to install new wires from Light Switch and/or BCM. It depends on BCM reference number that is installed in your 6R.

It may be necessary to install a new light switch (with a different reference).
