Hi all,
Recently purchased a mint Polo GTI, one owner from new with 48000 miles. It seems to have an issue with a power drain on the battery. Had to slave it the other day as the battery was down to 6v output. When started it was pushing 14v so the alternator is working fine. I saw from another post that an individuals had commented that the fault was a module not shutting down the system correctly, which then drains the battery. Anyone got any ideas which module needs replacing? Any help is very much appreciated.
Regards
Matt

That's not very common on the 6N2
You need to check the battery isn't faulty and the alternator is actually kicking out current rather than just voltage

Alex,
Thanks for the reply, i got in tomorrow for a check over and a service. I've changed the battery to a bigger size and hopefully that will sort it. The recovery guy checked my alternator out put and seem fine. Hopefully it was just an old batery and the new will sort it.
