Re: Bare Metal 6N
some more progress on the body work! almost all the old paint has now gone, just very tiny traces left around the windows etc and hard to reach places, these will be tackled with some sort of paint remover!
also sprayed the front bumper however choose the wrong colour, should have been darker like the wheels, have deided though to go with satin black!!
also the panels require more sanding and laquering to ahieve the finish im after!

Is it textured or smooth to touch ?. The glare on a low sun morning must be blinding for oncoming traffic.

Re: Bare Metal 6N
its laquered so once polished it will be smooth to the touch! however the areas that arent finished yet ie bonnet etcv are rough as a@: holes!

Looks a little better now, should look pretty cool when finished
Your pretty brave to drive around in it though, I imagine it gets plenty of looks on the road

Did the lacquer stick no problem ?. I thought lacquer bonded with paint ?. It's actually growing on me, it's definitely unique.

Re: Bare Metal 6N
No the laquer sticks fine. i did make the mistake though of not checking if the panel was 100% dry so the odd patch of light rust has appeared under the laquer! but it can be sanded off fairly easy and redone! to be honest each panel still needs more work so it'll be a fairly long process before its perfect!
