Sorry to steal your show GreyPolo, but I got bored.
Here's a pretty s**t 5 minute photoshop job, GreyPolo can probably do a better one.

That's a really good job mate! I think I like it. Could you do it to one of the newer photos with the fittipaldis.. Either of these..

Needing some advice on relocating the battery to the boot. Anyone know of any guides? Or even experienced it themselves. Giving the bay a little tidy/wire tuck and would like to move the battery. Along with fuel filter and coolant reservoir. Any help would be ace!!

Small update on the engine bay clean up..
New home for that little ball thing..
Image
And possible new home for that module thing.. Not fitted there yet as I need longer lines and also a proper way of securing it. But should be safe enough there?

What's everyone's opinion on this colour combo?

Ordering new dishes and bolts on Friday ready to get them all refurbed.
Could possibly do with the purple being a bit darker and more glossy..

Not much of an update as such, but being my first pay day in around 7 months, I thought I'd treat myself.

New set of Coilovers for the front as the current ones are knackered!
Image
Also bought 2.0" dishes for the back and new nuts and bolts all round=D
If anyone knows of someone in the Aberdeen area that can rebuild split rims, let me know!!
This also came
Image
I've been having some trouble with the hot side of the intercooler rubbing in the driveshaft due to the angle of it coming off the turbo, so hopefully this will solve it!
And a possible colour for the wheels, prefer how dark these are
Image
Car is also getting a good going over by a friend who works at a body shop, full machine polish etc this weekend, will get a few pics up after that!!

Opinions on wheel colour?

Cheers for looking:)

So today, while pulling into my street I heard a bang, and alot of noise. I turned off the ignition and rolled into my driveway.
I was hoping it was just a turbo pipe blown off as I've been having problems with one in particular. So thought I'd jack the car up and have a look... I hope these videos work.. As this is what greeted me.. Ouch.

Kind of hard to see, but basically the housing has split, so you can see the compressor wheel. You can imagine the language I used.
No idea what I'm going to do now, the turbo is only 5 months old:(

Ouch!!

Yes ive already been in contact with darkside, excellent customer services
Going over my options now:)
I have a feeling the turbo is under warranty, so we shall see what happens there.
If not, the credit card may become handy haha

Some sad news.. The car will be getting fixed, then sold on:(
Decided I want something newer, with noise. Polo 6r gti could be on the cards.

Things for sale in the best future;
Forge front mount and pipe work, including map boss.
Oz fittipaldis, with tyres, and adaptors
Carbon fibre intake
Fk street coilovers(getting them replaced via warranty so may be a few weeks)

Sad sad day, on to big and better things, keep an eye out for my next build thread;)
