Newbie to the Seat side- But not on the Forum!

Post by Naz »

Hey guys,

Ive just bought myself a new motor after having a Polo 8v for 4 years! Pics on forum somewhere!

ive picked up a Cordoba 2.0 16v with ABF lump! Pics will be up soon

I noticed there isnt a Cordoba section so i hope im not gonna get slated for posting in the Ibiza section seeing as rear wheels forward its the same as an ibiza!
only saying as i dont really wanna join a new forum and this has been one great site! some great advice on here!

welcome to the seat section mate and don't worry you won't be slated! Not much goes on in here except stuff about mine and James' (shantybeater) cupras!

Get some pics up is it a mk2?

Cheers, yep its a black mark 2 1998 cordy sx 16v with abf traded in for my old Polo 8v that ive had for a lonnnng time- Needed a change well tbh had a hunger for 16v ! and didnt want a golf gti just to be different!

some pics of my previous car here http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 98&start=0

the new car is not immaculate and needs a little tlc- very minor jobs front splitter missing, fogs are cracked . but its got 76 on the clock and is un modded apart from some horrid wheels! i will put some pics up as soon- picking her up on Monday or Tuesday.

so is it true that the front ends of a cordy and ibiza are 100% identical including Bumpers etc.. i need to get the deep front splitter and some fogs are these going to be hard to get or am i looking at scouring for breakers!!

sounds like you got some good plans, your old polos looks good to

im pretty sure the front ends are the same so you should be able to chop and change parts as cordys are a bit rarer!

cheers guys- just picked her up today- running sweet- she just wants to take off all the time! lol

minor things need doing though. NO FRONT SPLITTER!

can anyone tell me which splitter i need cuz i hear there are 2 types?

and can you fit fogs from an ibiza on the cordoba bumper? mines are both cracked ones got a hole in it.

to be honest both me and james have mk3's so your probably better asking questions like that on seatcupra.net in the ibiza mk2 section, and itd help if we could see some pics and then we can tell if any of the parts are shared!
