Test driven the vRS today

Post by jakethesnake »

Had a quick test drive in the vRS today. Not really long enough because they were closing at 4pm but was suitably impressed by it. I like the interior, loads more room than my 6N especially for a tall person like myself.
Have been thinking of buying one on-line but was offered quite a good price from the dealer.

Hopefully gonna ordered one soon!. 4 week waiting list on them at the mo' :(

You actually got a test drive!

I can go for a drive in one in the passenger seat but can't drive it.

I'm 21 not a 17 year old roy bacer in a 1.0 Nova test piloting!

I'm 35 so no probs with a test drive

@Josh, ta for the advice but I'm on a tight budget and can't stretch to the Xenons. I don't drive much at night anyhow so not too bothered.
Not sure if I really need cruise either. Is it very useful?

I just want the basic car really cos I've liked them ever since I first saw one in Yorkshire last year. At that time I thought it was a 1.8T, never knew then that it was a diesel !

I've had two fabias now, and did not test drive either, due to my dealers insurance not covering under 25's. The saving grace is that My father had an early one at the time so I knew how it drove. The vRS
Fabia took my breath away when I got it out of the forecourt. Wether you drive one beforehand or not, you will not be dissapointed.

At least your dealer spoke to you! They didn't even show a tiny bit of interest til i showed them what I had to trade in...

Think I'd prefer the GT if I were to change anyway, I prefer a 3 door 8)

Yes, I felt exactly the same. Took it for a test drive and loved the drive, but there's something about the interior that's quite oppressive - all that black plastic. I was concerned the seats would be easily stained as well, although the dealer did offer scotchguard at extra cost.

i wasnt keen on the interior either..... Would be better if you could get the seats in a different colour or something.
Would be even better if you could have polo interior and vrs exterior.

I wasnt very impressed with Skoda dealer nr me, he gave me the keys to look around it, then when i was bored of looking and it and wanted to take it out for a test drive, he was busy selling a car to someone else.... then went from that couple to another, so i gave him the keys back and said i wouldnt bother! Polo got a right thrashing after that :x
Really put me off having one from there, w***ers. rar...
