Pefect! 8)
I hope your wife enjoys all the new functions of your Fabia.

---
Why did you buy that dimmer? Did anyone operate this Dimmer on a PQ25?
This dimmer for SK Yeti that you purchased sends signals to the BCM (PQ35), and it acts on the interior lights according to the signals received.

The dimmer for the PQ25 sends the signals directly to the interior lights.

ADL? CORNER LIGHT ACTIVATION? MKE ?

Post by VASILEIOS1972 »

Good morning Fernando and have a good month!
I search enough to find that Fabia mk2 RS do not ever produced with oem xenon .
So I have some questions about the images above
1) ADL, what is new now in my headlights?
Image

2)Corner light activation , my car has in the place of fog lights led daylights .
Is this the problem that I do not have corner light function or need to check the bytes above?
Image

Image

3)MKE activation . I do not have assistant menu in mfd of my instrument cluster .
When i went in adaptation menu and doing test , the procedure do not begin .
See the screenshots above
Image

Image

from a previous thread i saw a skoda cluster none RS model with this function working

aadriver picture

viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=4710#p557797

if it something with the sw of the cluster the local dealer could not help because the car is not produced any more .
Can any body help me find this file , because i have vcp to upload this upgraded sw.

Best regards

1st.
Does 6R Dimmer fit correctly in your SK fabia?

2nd.
Have you checked that the 6R headlights range regulator works correctly for your current headlights?

Automatic lights, which is different from the CH/LH functions.
You can leave the light switch on AUTO forever until you need to activate the rear fog.
The lights will turn on automatically just when they are needed

2
Your Fabia does not have cornering lights, you need to install the headlights with the cornering function and the module that manages them. (check the Elsawin, ETKA).

3
As I told you by pm, you need to update your IC software for the MKE to work.
DO NOT touch anything on the GW adaptation channels.

I will ask for the IC SW that aadriver has installed in his Fabia. (I think I remember that he is also a user of this forum) memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=26584

For your Dimmer tests.

From T8 to T6

T8/1 to T6/4 ... +15
T8/2 to T6/2 ... G
T8/3,4,7 to T6/1 ... ground
T8/5 blue/black wire to T6/5 ... 58d OUT
T8/6 black wire to T6/3 ... 58 IN
T8/8 ... isolate

Keep in mind that everything you do is under your responsibility.
The tests can be done with wires with crocodile clips to return to the original state if you can't get the 6R Dimmer to work.
BCM coding needed.

Regular Fabia 5j FL elegance trim came with cornering lights on the fog lights. But those are completely different to the vrs models. Different bamper and different lights - one lamp for fog light and one lamp for drl. Drl are on a hw switch next to the fuse panel.

Hello Fernando , you are the expert, so it is fair for me and for you to prepare a wiring from T8 to T6 connector and fuse box , to make the tests plus new bcm coding.
For all those my friend, name the price to continue the project to end with complete success .

It is possible but:

- You have to wait until the last week of September for me to manufacture this adapter wiring for your TESTS (or fully functional if the tests are successful).

- Unfortunately, an original female connector is not manufactured for your current male T8 dimmer connector (ETKA), so we will use a T10 male and female connectors. It involves transferring the wires from the current male T8 dimmer connector to the new male T10 connector (with the same correspondence in the slots to transfer the wires from T8 -> T10). After transfering the wires, the new adapter wiring (T10 <-> T6) will be Plug & Play to do the TESTS.

- The original connectors are not cheap, so I estimate that the final cost with shipping (€ 10) will be between 30 and 40 euros.

I will send you 4 or 5 MQS terminals for you to crimp 2 of them in the blue/black and black wires with the ENGINEER crimper.

Do you agree with the above?
