Easy.
You have to install your old ring with 6Q0953513AN (as indicated by exantas) and test if with the old ring there is communication between the new BCM 7E0 and the J745 unit.

Remember that the rings have to have the same number of turns for one side as for the other. The connector at the top is the center, the mark of the steering column at the top, and the wheels must be completely straight.
If you do not install it correctly the inner wire of the ring will break and the ring will be unusable.

If you want and before you buy the AN stalks, and as a test, you can install your old ring with your old stalks (factory) to check if there is already communication with the J745 unit.

Logically there will be a fault because the ECU will not find the CC switch (E45). This will be solved when you install the AN stalks or by disabling the CC in the ECU.

Tell me Fernando , how will understand that there is communication ?
Can i see it from diagnosis when select address 55 and there are no errors?
When will turn the steering wheel and turn the lights ?
When I turn on the flash lights one right and one left ?

Lets see what the test will show
@ciclo
I have been looking around in my favorite parts site. There I found the car that has the dynamic turning lights and 5J0907357B.
I then searched for all parts that they have from that car https://www.google.com/search?q=site:bi ... 0&bih=1307

It looks me that the car came with the 6R type of slipring when I see what version of stalks it had.

When you see the unit J745 data at address 55 in the autoscan. Only that.
It can show faults/errors or not.

Yes, that seems, but keep in mind that the SK Roomster shown is 'E' Model Year (2015).
The slip ring (G85) is involved in almost all powertrain units, ABS, IC, BCM/GW, etc... and these units have evolved over time.
Vasilis VRS is a 'C' Model Year with old slip ring from factory for all that units.

I guess we are the first to try to make compatible the parts that Vasilis tries to make work in his VRS.
There is a gigantic lack of info on the net for this retrofitting.

As you say, lets see what the test will show.

You have to do the G85 Basic Setting at address 03 ABS brakes, please post a new autoscan again whitout faults at address 03.

Tip: It is enough with delete the last 5 digits of the VIN, the other visible digits will help others to help you.

Hello Fernando , I tried to make basic settings in g85 , seven times but nothing . In all attempts I used 40168 secret code .
For some reasons ,the old stalk and old g85 denied basic setting and the result was NOT OK .
When Install new stalk everything works fine with no errors , and g85 made basic setting immediately

Thank for the vin

G85 Basic setting sometimes has some mysteries that I am not able to understand either.
I have always been successful in this Basic Setting, although I have to confess that sometimes I had to take a short walk with my 6R for a while (also taking the steering wheel to the two ends) in order to finish/do the Basic setting with VCDS.

It should be possible to finish the Basic Setting with your old slip ring (G85).

---

- The wires for J745 were checked. (Multimeter)
- The BCM/GW was checked. (7H0/7E0)
- The slip ring was checked. (6Q0/6R0)

The only thing that has not been checked is other J745 unit ...

Good morning my friend Fernando .
Did you noticed something in auto scan ? Address 4 is not displayed ............
I have all ready bought another J745.
The module is his way to Greece.
I will report soon .
One last question, if we ever solve this matter with j745 , can you help me to convert day lights to work like fog lights ?
Is it possible ? I think it is the only way to have cornering lights .

Idea. If the changes that you guys made in the wiring don't make it incompatible, why don't you try to test J745 with the 087 BCM you had in the car before?
The autoscans Valiseios posted had 087. If the new wiring can work with old BCM you could do an extra test to the J745 module.

It won't be a permanent solution since 087 doesn't cover all functions you want, but you have it already in hand anyway.
For example if you have the same abs unit as the autoscans you posted, you copy the codings they have just for testing

Yes, the old slip rings are not shown in the Autoscan, there are no VCDS labels for these rings.

DRLs are mandatory and more important than SCLs. Conversion is possible, but I don't agree with this conversion.
Your DRLs are perfect as they are, maybe they are the first SK FII VRS DRLs worldwide managed by the BCM instead of a button.

Let's focus on getting the DCLs.

The modifications in the wiring are perfect for BCM Max, it makes no sense to undo these modifications.
The BCM Max software covers all the possibilities BCM High software, but the BCM High hardware doesn't cover all the possibilities of BCM Max hardware.
It makes no sense to lose all the functions and possibilities offered by a BCM Max.

The test can be performed, the autoscan will throw failures, which is not a problem if all you want to know is if the J745 unit can be recognized, not as a permanent installation.

OC I don't talk about undoing the wiring. Is more a temp test where you use HW parts and coding that you know that came in that combination from factory.
This way you test the J745 until the replacement part arrives.

My way of thinking is that if DCL work on a setup as close as possible to factory setup, you have a base line and you know that all parts are working together.
If you get DCL work with the factory coding and the OLD BCM, you can then switch to the Max version BCM and set the coding that you know it works with the old BCM.

If DCL continue to work , you change the bits for the extra functions that you want, where you already know how to code those.
