Post by dxg »

Well, uk-polos are heading off to VWUK on Monday to review the facelifted model.

If you've got any questions at all, please post them in this thread.

(Rest assured, we'll be asking about the GTI!).

Thanks,

Deek.

Are they doing a 4MOTION or quattro in a gti and if so is it going to be a 140pd or 170 pd out of the new passat

can you please see if they revised the interior B-pillar trim, the part that covers the seat belt mechanism and that hangs loose all the time? all they need is two clips to attach it to the lower black plastic trim...
thanks

Have they addressed the suspension knocking and creaking dashboard?

Basically that's what forced me out of my 9n into a Fabia, same chassis, no creaking, quiet dash.

Any improvements to engine management on 1.4 75bhp engines as regards lack of "go" from standstill and travelling up hills?
Also might 1.4 FSI engine be available on non-sport models?

Did the press day last monday.

Unfortunately, I'm launching the last three years of my work tomorrow (at the Design Council, 4pm, if you want to come...) and haven't had a chance to write up the review for you guys yet as I'm somewhat busy - in fact I don't know what I'm doing on here now...

Hopefully I'll get something up at the weekend.

Josh was there, too and much more than the Polo was driven  Keep an eye out!

Has any specific info been forthcoming from VW as to whether most or all of the various problems/niggles that have appeared in this forum have been sorted on the facelifted Polo models?
