Hi Guys,
My 1.2 55ps Polo requires a new engine and I want to fit something with a bit more power. I have been looking at a 1.8t engine and also at a 2l tsi engine but i'm not 100% sure on what would fit and be cheaper etc. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone converted their 1.2 into something a bit more powerful?

Re: Polo 9n3 Engine Conversion
Fitting a 1.8T 9N3 GTI engine is the easiest option as it was already a choice
Consider though the additional insurance cost as unless it’s declared you will be uninsured and work required to convert along with the cost of labor
It might be easier to buy a GTI and be done with

Conversion wise would I need just the engine, ECU, Driveshafts, Gearbox, Clutch, Wiring Loom?alexperkins wrote: ↑Sun Jul 30, 2017 5:13 pm Fitting a 1.8T 9N3 GTI engine is the easiest option as it was already a choice

Yup plus engine mounts, possibly subframe as I think the GTI has a larger subframe due to the block weight
Then it’s just a case of doing it
