Hi
I have a 2006 VW Polo 1.2 E. It has central locking and I recently bought a kit to install keyless entry to the central locking. So firstly where in the car could I install it into? Where is the central locking unit essentially.
Secondly, a colleague has told me that a mechanic he spoke to has said it has remote central locking as standard and previous owner probably just lost the fob. Is this the case with all 2006 Polos or just a selection of them?
Please help cause I am really confused now

Hum, I'll leave that one for others to answer wrt interfacing that kit to the central locking system.
Polo 1.2 E - well that is well down the Polo range, so I'd suspect that key operated central locking would be as good as it got at initial assembly without any extra options.

E doesnt have remote central locking. Its all electronic too so the easiest option is to get an Rclick system and fit it as per here:
