Rclick central locking help

Post by patters78 »

Gents

My sons brought his first car and wants to add remote locking so brought a rclick system.

So this weekend I have stripped down his car in prep to fit it.

So it's my understanding by the guide they provide

Red goes to constant live
Black - yellow - yellow/black go to ground
White goes to blue/white lock/unlock wire
White/black via 180 ohm resistor to same blue/white wire above

Now when stripping down I found a car tracker attached to the light switch and was able to obtain constant live and ground from the light switch by just removing the tracker and using the already soldered wires

Located the lock/unlock wire and connected white white/black wire and the car locks but just doesn't unlock all I get is the rclick system double clicking?

I'm unsure if I have the right resistor although the Ebay listing stated 180k ohm 2w metal film resistor going by the color on them they seem like 160k ohm but I'm no expert in these things?

I can only think it's the resistor as the rest seems to work ok

Any help please

180k ohm is 180000 ohms. You need a 180R or a 180 ohm resistor. They are much smaller than the one you have fitted both in rating, and physical appearance

Hi Guys , I have an VW Polo 2006 1.2 petrol

Try to install same rclick central lock, I got 8 pin socket

Please help me to install. Some chats says I don't need 180 ohm , someone says I need.
And also wish to know the module to connect rclick central lock located on driver door panel? Or under dash?! If you have any pictures how to install, pleas share. Thanks a lot!

It’s 180 ohm and the main thread here will help

Wiring is picked up behind the panel where the bonnet pull is
