Brake pad warning light wont go off
I've had my 2006 polo in the garage and the mechanic cant get the brake pad warning light to switch off for love or money and it has new brakes all round. Help please aaaaargh

I think that you/they need to check the wiring further back to see where it is damaged and causing this problem.
Edit:- have you asked him if he thought the old pads were worn down far enough to cause the wear warning to light up? If not then he must have smelt a rat and looked something else before replacing these pads.

The car had been sat for a year and I rescued it, had new cylinders, discs, pads, bearings all round but brake pad warning light just wont switch off
