2008 Mk 4 Polo Tail Lights

Post by Riley_4628 »

So I’ve been told it is possible to switch the lights on my polo with alternate ones. I have brought these lights, the lamp holder and the extra bulbs it all fits cleanly with the car as expected however I believe that there could be a wiring issue or something as the wrong lights are turned on for the wrong job despite each bulb being in the correct space. I have been told that this is possible and shown pictures however I can’t find anything to help online that shows it’s a regular switch. The lights I currently have are from a Polo Mark IV Facelift (Typ 9N3, 2005–2009) Image and the lights I would like to install are from a Polo Mark IV (Typ 9N, 2002–2005)

Thank you.

I think that you are looking in the wrong section of this forum, you need to look in the earlier 9N section, and someone was I think, offering to make up some new adaptor cable looms.

Edit:- whoops, looks like you are one in a million, in as much as you are doing the reverse of what people used to want to do, so you would need to make up your own adaptor cables.
