Dear Forum, I am about to get back to the world of Polo life - I've had a few down the years and still rely on their great combination of value and reliability.
Can anyone offer advice pls ?
Can I swap out the the standard cd/radio built-in head unit for a newer VW unit (with dab) I don't want aftermarket
although good etc id rather keep it VW if I can .
Hope everyone is healthy and remains so
Andy

Re: Newbie * head unit
Hi Andy!
The newer head units don’t fit the 9n3’s unfortunately. It’s a shame because I would’ve preferred to go down that route - I’ve posted in the past the option I’ve gone for (but there’s also a Chinese head unit called the RCN 210
https://a.aliexpress.com/_dTYmD4v that’s really popular, bluetooth enabled and looks factory fitted). I went for a Pioneer SPH230DAB and I’m really happy with it. It’s not particularly flashy and the lights can be matched to your car lights to give a more OEM feel.
Hope this helps!
