im looking to upgrade to a better slr. but i dont really know what to go for ha! i got two in mind, the d90 and 500d.

Whats your thoughts on these cameras and what would you personally choose?

Nikon because I prefer the layout / menus.

However you can't go wrong so long as you go and try the two out. Personal preference. Canons are usually a bit lighter.
