In Tank Lift Pump

Hi all, new here. I'm fitting a 1.3 gt engine and 5 speed box into my Mk2 Breadvan and have the later Mk3 fuel tank brand new and epoxy painted at the weekend ready to install, only to find out that the lift pump required for these later tanks have been discontinued! I can get an aftermarket pump from Demon Tweeks that'll fit through the small hole and can work out how to secure it but this dosen't come with a sender attached. I know the conversion has been done many times but so far I haven't found a solution posted about this? Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Neil

I would chuck this question up on polo3.co.uk

You should get a quicker reply on there as sadly the mk3 scene on here is a little quiet.

The lift pumps are still available as non-genuine parts

Hi Alex, thanks for getting back to me. The part number I've got is 867919051L. Which when you enquire are told that its no longer available. That's for the sender, I can get an aftermarket pump but it has'nt got a sender on it.

Brilliant! Thanks for that Alex, they look exactly like the pump and sender unit combined that I need. I'll show the German Ebay ads to some German speakers at work to translate properly and let you know my results. Once again, thanks for your help.
