Would T6 3D SW work on T5.1 3D cluster?

Hi Ciclo/Graaja/Patil?Gannu

You are such an inspiration!
I'm located in India and contemplating the below headlights for my polo 6c:

http://www.vagtune.in/volkswagen/vw-lig ... 6rx-detail

I'm not sure if its worth the price, will it be plug and play and how are DRL's going to function and finally pro's and cons of buying this.
If anyone can shed some light on this, will be appreciated.

Also, I am not able to find 8k ops parking module on aliexpress anymore, i already have rear parking sensors, would like to add front parking sensors and enable ops display, can you help me list out parts i'm going to need to achieve this? My current module is not ops, its a simple module with audio warnings.

8K OEM PDC:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/VW-Golf ... st=ae803_1
but sometimes the PDC modules are not programmable with VCDS, that may cause issues

or:
http://www.carsystems.pl/vw-polo-6r-par ... d1605.html

or maybe you can find used parts and make your own wiring.
that's what I have done :-) i ended up a lot cheaper

Thank you for replying, Ciclo.

custom wiring, for now is not possible for me.
another doubt i have is, with the suggested kit do i have to remove the existing rear sensors and switch them with these?

Also, could you please comment on the GTI headlight from vagtune.in (i have mentioned it in my previous post) compatibility with polo 6c india.

Thanks in advance.

??

You can continue to use your current rear sensors, that is no problem.
The vagtune.in website is too vague to tell if it's possible. They do not specify the compatibility nor any technical details. Please ask them this question.

Hi akshay922 ,

I spoke with Vagtune about six months ago about these headlights. They have a custom wiring (work around) that they use to install these headlights. Correct and OEM way to install these headlights properly is to ugrade BCM to a compatible model.

Hi akshay922,

I would advise against this headlight unit from VagTune. I received very poor service from them(I am based out of Bangalore). In the end, swapped these headlights to OEM Valeos`. They are brighter than these headlights and are superior in quality.

Best,
Shishir

Thanks for your reply antardaksh04,

Doing it graaja way seems so tedious and also procuring the BCM looks like taking a shot against luck.
Is there a simpler way of doing this? i hate what the U headlights from eagle eyes, retrofits like Gannu's are again a hit or miss considering the professional workmanship required.

Hi Shishir,

Thank you for helping out. I have few follow up questions:

1. what about the warranty?
2. was this plug and play?
3. Is this compatible with stock BCM?
4. What about the LED DRL and cornering lights, do they work as expected, I ask this beacause graaja has mentioned a lot of things that just wont work if BCM is not swapped.
5. Finally can you provide the link to the product.

Regards
Akshay

Hi Akshay,
1. Warranty depends on your relationship with your respective dealership. I am taking my chances. They claimed that my warranty would be void even on aftermarket Roots horn. :D
2. Yes, it was plug and play
3. Yes
4. I did not get LED DRL activated but you can ask the installer for the same(they come on with headlights). Cornering lights were left untouched so they continue to work as they worked before.
5. You may contact German DNA for these headlights. You can find their contact details on Facebook and give my reference (Shishir, Grey GT TSI). They are based out of Bangalore.

On a side note, switching off of DRL when indicators are turned on, will not work because of BCM issue but it was not a deal breaker for me.

Best,
Shishir
