there is no tool for cluster made after 2014
It seems like a big challenge for diskoboy.

However, I tried to update my IC software at the VW dealership via Online and it was not updated.
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=3435#p522137

Now, this leads me to think about the future. Imagine that I bought a car with this instrument cluster:

As we all know, all electronic devices have updates with a high frequency and if I go to the VW dealer and by payment (as I always did) they do not update the software of my digital IC, in a few weeks I will have a totally outdated car.

25000-30000 Euros outdated in a few weeks. LOL! x 1000

This is what I have learned from Volkswagen during all these years that I went to their dealers to update the units of my 6R without success.

you must know that SW is depend of HW .
Some parts on cluster are match with SW and even if you force SW update , after that for example LCD not work because could not support it
Some clusters have SW in LCD too
and many other changes

I totally agree with you ... however, do you think there are differences in hardware between these Instrument clusters?
I mean in their integrated circuits, screen, internal parts...

I can confirm that that's true. I've talked to several people and they all say the same.

That's a shame - it was a good deal but I've have to cancel it because it's basically impossible to get it to work. Have to check if the A version is better - or the one without any letters [emoji22]

The 'A' version has sw 805
Without any letters has sw 709

It will have to be a BCM 7E0937090 B or C. (I already gave him good advice)
It is very likely that TPMS unit 'F' and sensors/valves 'F' work perfectly in his 6R

CNK, I'm afraid for now (as spacewalker said) these Amarok ICs will only be possible to install them (at VW dealerships) when are brand new.

We have something pending to install , I hope that by the middle of September you are fully prepared for it. Would it be possible?

Edit: sorry, I made a mistake  , 2H0920871A has lower SW, so it can be installed/adapted by experts.

As spacewalker mentioned, SW can be downgraded to a SW where tools exist to reprogram ( and I think then upgrade back to higher SW)

Another interesting issue:

It is possible that firegrafik has available new door units (WRMs) with the feature of automatic folding mirrors (with the remote). Since there have been many interested on these WRMs from long time ago, I think it would be better to open a new topic to concretize/treat/talk about it.

I have some information about it and think is very interesting, but I prefer that firegrafik inform us all (when possible for him).
