You can use the T73a/65 BCM pin/wire as power for all your puddle lights, as negative the one already commented for each door. You must use led lights (low consumption) throughout the whole installation in the wire coming from T73a/65, whose total consumption should not exceed 3.5 Amp.
This way you will have your 10 minutes for your door warning/puddle lights to turn off.

Thank you ciclo. I think i will go for T73a/65 to be safe with unclosed door. but right now, all my interior/footwell are bulbs plus the door light module with projector logo is rated at 7W. ill have to change to led first then[emoji23]

A different question:
I remember that I made a special/additional wiring for you to install ambient lights.
Output of SB1 fuse (last page here).
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=69026&start=15#p515128
Have you installed a new Dimmer and ambient lights, which is the reason you asked me to do this additional wiring for you?
for example

Yes. of course the SB1 is still available. I’m still thinking what sort of ambient lights that i would like to install for the interior, but all these need full mod as most of door ambient lights, and all are not available in polo.
I’m still using the old dimmer with manual leveling. oem bixenon and full auto leveling is still in ToDoList.
In fact i did think that maybe i can use the SB1 for this door projector. but i havent check how long it will stay on with door open. But... ambient lighting means power only when headlight is on right? not when u switch off engine and walking out of the car. [emoji848]
Right now, i’m working on special bracket to install the door warning light to make it properly sit and flush/same level with the door panel. But seems like the quality of these products are not great. One projector burned out with smell and smoke!
from the output logo quality is superb. but with the projector burned out and smoke coming out, im not sure Im going to install this inside the door panel. But another unit is still ok. maybe one of the unit is damaged.

SB1 output = works at the same time as parking/side lights.benzinkopf wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2017 11:06 am ... ambient lighting means power only when headlight is on right?

Yes i checked the SB1 output yesterday. only during parking/side lights as well as all interior button back lighting controllable by the dimmer.ciclo wrote:SB1 output = works at the same time as parking/side lights.benzinkopf wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2017 11:06 am ... ambient lighting means power only when headlight is on right?
As for the door exit light, i think the module is rated at 7W 12V only. With power from the WRM at 14V while engine on, it burned the resistor inside. So these led module solution surely not working well with the power unless its 12V and less.

Hi Ciclo
I know you no longer sell the headlight switch adapter harness but I would like to make one myself.
Do you have a list of parts I will need to make it?
Thanks

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
this is what I use:
10 pin connector M 191 972 735 for junior power timer
10 pin connector F 191 972 725 for junior power timer
2 pin connector M 1J0 972 752 for standard power timer
2 pin connector F 1J0 972 762 for standard power timer
10 pin connector 8E0 971 980 for light switch
double relay holder 4H0 937 529 for model year C or higher
two relays 4H0 951 253C
terminals:
4x junior por timer female for relay
4x MCP6.3 for relay
11x MQS for light switch + BCM
1x MCP2.8 for BCM
2x standard power timer male
9x standard power timer male
ciclo has a slightly different approach, he uses other T10 connector, its a bit similar to ISO connector for radio
he can make them a bit cheaper (he's probably a bit faster in making these things than I am and the swiss dealer is maybe a bit more expensive compared to the spanish)

(offtopic)
Not so sure about that... The prices are all the same in Europe, or almost the same, what changes is the TVA, here in Switzerland we have a very low TVA. I also tought that the prices in Portugal, directly from a VW dealer, were cheaper than here, but they were actually more expensive or around the same price...

Usually I pay about 25% more in Switzerland compared to Germany

ciclo has a slightly different approach (because ciclo, i.e me, was the creator of many things so that they can be used and enjoyed by everyone, without exception, i.e rich and poor), he uses other T10 connector, its a bit similar to ISO connector for radio. It is not similar, it is exactly an ISO connector, used by VW in many VW radio models since a very long time. It's a good connector.
he can make them a bit cheaper ...this is an absolute falsehood. Do you remember this , now imagine the taxes that I have to pay compared to what you pay.
(he's probably a bit faster - and better - in making these things than I am ...also in many other things ...
... and the swiss dealer is maybe a bit more expensive compared to the spanish Maybe , but Spanish VW dealers are more expensive than German VW dealers, in some parts twice.

Re: ciclo's Polo. R-line 1.2 TSI 90hp 119gr.
What I've noticed, there are not shown the rear disk brakes for that 2018 Polo. But there are 2 possible sizes of the rear drum brakes: 203x38 (PR-1KG) and 228x42 (PR-1KA). How such things could be?
I understand with "little" engines there is no need to have more effective rear brakes. But another option with bigger drums, that is laughing thing for me.
I suppose there are not fully filled the lists with all parts and it definitely should be the rear disk brakes for the "hot" versions (at least I hope that) but now it looks funny.
