I am interested in this program but I am getting really confused as there appears to be a massive difference in price for this system....eBay for £40 (do they work??) or the full version for £300!!

I'm not looking to do much, and to be honest I'm not sure what I would be able to do. I have 2010 1.4 SEL with high line dash. Could anybody confirm I would be able to turn on these features?

Speedo/rev needle sweep
Auto locking above 10mph
Remove the (annoying) feature of ONLY unlocking the drivers door from key

If I can't sort this I can wait til next service time and get them to do it but I like messing and modding my car!!

Some of the cheaper ones do work, I'm on my phone at the minute but I can send you the link shortly to one I purchased off amazon for 30ish, it turned out to have all the features and can do what you want it to.
Only downside is its from Hong Kong I think, takes a few weeks to get here...

Edit: found the link from someone else's topic.. http://tinyurl.com/c7y8uc9

Hello

I'm new on here but have a few VW's

To answer some of the questions

Needle Sweep - i dont know the coding, it can be done on some Golf Mk6's
Auto Locking about 10 km/h is a simple job with the proper VCDS (i have this), i've set my 2009 (59 plate) 1.4 SE to work in this way, you can also simply check the unlock all doors function too so all those features are easily available with the correct Rosstech hardware and i have done them on my car so know they work

From memory there is something in the manual about how to set the locking, it involves holding the wiper stalk (could be drivng lights though as i only scan read it quickly)

Cheers

Yeah thanks for that I had another look at the manual and its for disabling the DRL not the locking!!

I'll maybe take the plunge and order the part and have a play about.

To get the needle sweep, go into instruments-adaptation-indicator celebration mode- on

:-) needle sweep will be there on the list as well, but it doesn't let you change it. :-)

It's easy, every option is there for you to choose from and its pretty much a case of toggling off/on :)

So this ISN'T something I can switch on, on my car then? It is present but can't change it to off/on.....is that right?

It's called indicator celebration mode NOT needle sweep. Like The guy said it can be done from instruments>adaptation>indicator celebration mode>on
