Arm Rest

Post by vwpchris »

Hi guys,

Second post, just got my 2013 rline polo today, chuffed with it and just wanting to order some goodies for it.

Apart from trying to work out the xenon look lightbulbs for it ive been looking at arm rests for it.

Anyone ordered the oem or aftermarket ones they would recommend?

Thanks

Chris

Iv seen a few from Germany on Ebay which arent too pricey and look not bad but not sure what the custom charges etc would be, cant really be bothered with the hassle from overseas delivery either!

Hmmm that's true they do look alright just seen them, but I agree if it going to cost a lot in custom charges then I won't bother either. :)

it's £110 if ordered when you buy a new, as factory build optional extra.

Just a word of advice, if you looking to buy this from a main dealer be prepared.
To spend well over the excess of £400.00  As they shocking expensive as a retro fit from a Volkswagen.

I am looking for £130.00 plus P+P :)

I think it does. There are other threads on the 6r/6c board where members have retro-fitted this armrest - suggest you use the search facility and you should be able to find them, which should also confirm whether or not it would fit the 6c GTI.

If your car’s a manual, bear in mind that when the armrest is in the horizontal position, it can hinder use of the handbrake. This is one of the reasons I didn’t spec the armrest on my car when I ordered it as it’d be stored out of the way in the upright/vertical position pretty much all the time, so not used.

I didn't know the arm rest was an option in some countries, it's standard here in Australia.

However the LED headlights are an option here, I'd happily sacrifice my arm rest for the better headlights, I have the very un-exciting halogens in my new (2017) GTI.

Mine's always in the upright position too.
