In this way only turn on the light from the door which is opened.
hi albert/ciclo,
from this guide, it means the supply for the door exit /warning light is from the wrm which is more than 12v (14v) with engine is running. I know if using normal bulb, theres no issue, but running the led door light means it will burn the led bulb with more than 12v. am i right? or is there solution for using led door light?

Hello Ciclo, first of all thanks for answering me, I checked and as you said, my pin is missing pin 5, so what should I do?
Do I have to change the button?
Would you give me the link or the right button code?
Thank you

Hello, to do this job you need the adhesive carpet like this, you have to do before the cardboard shapes and then cut the carpet. In the photos you will find the shapes that I used with the measures in cmImageImageImageImage

Hi ciclo,

I know that is a very old post, but it has all the information that I need to attempt this mod in my Polo 6C. I just need a little help with ordering the harnesses. There are two options on AliExpress:
1. Both terminals are box type, like here
1. One terminal is box type and the other is the regular pincer type, like here.

Which is the correct option for the Polo?

Also, will I need any VCDS coding to activate the lights once installed?

Thanks in advance.

There is no problem with the voltage when installing LED lights (12-14v). In fact it is better to install LED lights inside.
The necessary wiring depends on the model of the LED lamp you install, there is no specific wiring for the 6R, you must manufacture it or modify the one you bought. It is not necessary to code anything.

Thank you for your help. The supplied harnesses come with the required connector at the lamp end. I needed help with the type of terminals required for the connections at the WRM (+ve) and Door Lock Unit
(GND) ends.

I assume you/we are talking about LED in doors. Instead of so called ERROR FREE LEDs, can we use the LED Strip SMD 3528 or SMD 5050 in a case? Can all these be used in interior for footwell and dome lights?
