ImageFirstly, amazing thread the amount of information staggering how people get all this information blows my mind. I have started the retrofit and everything has gone to plan (almost). Test fitted the secondhand stalks, they activate my signals,wipers lights correctly, scroll my trip computer everything like they should.

Now i installed the wiring to the stalks thats went fine (broke a pin but replaced it checked the wire continuity all is good.)
Ran the cables to the BCM took the best part of 30min but got that done after becoming an amature contortionist.
Ran the cable from the BCM to the engine bay, removed the security bolts so i could access the ECU and this is where i need help because i am seriously up poop creek without a paddle and i am not going to lie, starting to panic.

I have a 2014 Seat Ibiza 1.2TSI 77KWH (105HP) (its basically a rebadged vw polo it has more VW and Audi badges than it does Seat logos)
BCM 6R0937087R date on the BCM 24.10.2014 (so supports cruise control)
1.2TSI Engine code CBZ J00 773 build date 29-10-2014

The problem i have is when i go to install the pin to the ECU there is already a wire in slot 45!!! Any help would be amazing.

What color is the wire? T95/45 is the correct cable for CBZB 77kW. It should be white, from factory.

Thanks for the reply, Sorry phone was dying and it was dark. Hopefully someone can say josh you have been a bit of a noob and miscounted the pins.

Yes, the wire is there ... :lol: :wink:
These things happen from time to time. Usually, at the end of manufacture of a car model.

Well, you can be 100% sure that this white wire is dedicated to the cruise control system. The other end of the wire will be buried between the wires/harnesses, or in some mysterious place. (maybe near the BCM white connector).

If you are 100% sure that you have correctly wired the T41 steering column connector and the T73 bcm white connector, you can attach/splice your wire for CCS to the wire you found there.
Or remove/isolate the existing one and insert yours.

Sometimes, it is hard to remove the wires/terminals from the ECU connectors without the right tools.

Thanks for the reply, i counted the pins like 15 times. I went out and bought some VW terminal pin keys a while ago so i should be able to remove the pins without too much trouble. I am more than happy to remove the pin and i am 100% sure the rest of the connections are right and its all pinned right. One thing though by white wire do you mean green and black?

Thanks,
Josh.

Thank you, will give it a go.... Its not my day today haha. Spent a good 10 min trying to get the image to load on my mac for some reason it will not have it but my beatup and unloved old HP loaded it up fine. Off back into the cold to give it a go. Hopefully i can report good things.

Great news all is working, got to a long straight road (said a little prayer) hit that magical button and boom, cruise control icon came on my dash and my car held its speed. Thanks for your help, would not have managed to finish it without your thread or your help. If you have paypal i would like to send you £5 as a thanks.

Tomorrow I only need to refit my airbag, clear some error codes, tidy up the mess, get some new bolts for the ecu so its not messy with cut lines, give all the cables one last tidy up and its all done :)

Again seriously thanks for your help.
Josh.

Great!!! I'm glad you got it. Thanks to you for sharing your experience with us all.

Please use/transform the five pounds to help someone... I'm sure someone close to you will need a little affection or any other kind of detail on your part. I would be extraordinarily happy if you do this (sincerely).
In case you have done this on other occasions, have a good English beer (or refreshing drink) in my name. :lol: I would be equally happy.

Good job! 8)

Hello guys,
I am writing you from italy apologize my english !!
I wanted to compliment you for your technical skills and ask a question;
I have a cousin of the pole, the skoda fabiya 5j 1.6 tdi of 2013 and I would like to add the cruise control; I turned to the dealer and told me according to the chassis number you have to fit the DC 5j1054690a which costs the beauty of € 400 !! reading on various forums i read that bcm that supports cc must have the final three digits at least 087, but my bcm ends with 086m; my question is: 5j1054690a is a bcm + stalk kit? according to the dealer skoda italy only stalk .... according to you is it possible to mount on my car the cruise 6r0953507c + bcm with final 087, used maybe, to save a little money? you can help me, I suspect for long;

Hi chinesia75, welcome. :wink:

Please post a VCDS Autoscan , and a steering wheel image with the original levers (stalks) would also be useful to know what BCM model you can install in your SKODA Fabia (2013) TMBES25J1D3108242
